Cristina Pombo holds a degree in Communication Sciences from FCSH at Nova University Lisbon and has been a journalist at Expresso since 2000. She began her career on the Guides team and later took on coordination roles at Expresso Online. She is currently the coordinator of the newspaper’s International section.
Since 2012, she has participated annually in an international conference in Berlin, organised by the Berliner Gazette, which brings together participants from across the world — academics, activists, artists and journalists — to collaboratively reflect on major global issues such as migration, climate change, labour rights and more.
She is passionate about people and about themes that have a direct impact on their lives. Her greatest challenge and privilege: being the mother of two (amazing) teenagers.
