Catarina Carvalho is a journalist and co-founder of the “Mensagem de Lisboa” project, which published the chronicles of Jorge Costa, who lived on the streets for almost a year.
The testimony resulted in a book, and the proceeds will fund a journalism scholarship on the topic. Catarina has led newsrooms at DN, Sábado, and NM.
She is also a journalism professor, a board member of the World Editors Forum, and was a visiting fellow at the Reuters Institute in Oxford.
