He holds a postgraduate degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapies and an Advanced Specialisation in Chemical and Behavioural Addictions.

He co-authored the study “À Margem – A condição de sem abrigo nos Açores” (On the Margin – The Homeless Condition in the Azores). He has been working with people experiencing homelessness for 16 years and is currently the Technical Coordinator of Novo Dia – Association for Social Inclusion (Azores).

In June 2023, he joined the team responsible for implementing and monitoring the “PDL Housing First” Pilot Project in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel. He has extensive experience in community intervention with vulnerable populations, having led several community projects and authored publications (articles, brochures, manuals) focused on work with these groups.
