Hélder Rego Fernandes is a Psychologist, graduated from the University of the Azores, with specializations in Clinical and Health Psychology, as well as Community Psychology.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapies.
He co-authored the study “À Margem – The condition of homelessness in the Azores.” He has been working with people experiencing homelessness for 14 years and currently serves as the coordinator of the Street Teams at Novo Dia – Association for Social Inclusion (Azores).
Since June 2023, he has been part of the implementation and monitoring team of the “PDL Housing First” Pilot Project in Ponta Delgada, S. Miguel.
He has experience in community intervention with vulnerable populations and has been responsible for various community projects, with publications (articles, brochures, manuals) related to psychological intervention with these groups.
