His initial task was to lead a strategic review that resulted in the stabilization of four intervention axes, including the creation of an impact investment axis, and the foundation’s focus on addressing three social issues: health, population aging, and social exclusion.

Prior to this role, he worked in the public initiative ‘Portugal Inovação Social,’ where he was responsible for designing, implementing, and managing deal flow for the Social Innovation Fund (FIS), Portugal’s first public impact investment fund with a budget of €55 million.

During this period, he was part of the ‘Impact Funds Initiative’ working group of the European Venture Philanthropy Association and the ‘Wholesale Impact Investment funds’ group of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment.

He began his professional career in consulting, working at three consulting firms with responsibilities ranging from supporting the scalability and access to financing for startups to conducting sustainability performance assessments for various multinational companies.
