She was born in 1983 in Oliveira de Azeméis, Aveiro. In 2005, she left her Communications Sciences degree at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa to start working as a journalist.
Since 2020, she has been the executive director of the digital magazine MAGG. She has worked for Lux, 24 Horas, Diário de Notícias, Jornal de Notícias, and TV 7 Dias.
She co-hosted the Antena 3 program “Prova Oral,” wrote columns for the newspaper “O Novo,” provided journalism training at the Escola de Tecnologias Inovação e Criação.
Since 2014, she has been known as “A Gaja,” a feminist and provocative alter ego with over 100,000 followers on social media. In 2015, she released the book “A Gaja.”
