Sérgio Rui Lopes Cintra, a 51-year-old Lisbon native, holds a Law degree from the Autónoma University of Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in Local Government Law from the Institute of Legal-Political Sciences at the Faculty of Law of Lisbon.
He has been serving as a member of the board at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa since March 2016.
From 2013 to 2016, he was the Chairman of the Board of GEBALIS, EM, overseeing Human Resources, Engineering and Heritage Conservation, financial and legal matters. He also served as an Administrator from 2007 to 2013. Between 2004 and 2007, he was an Administrator of Sociedade de Reabilitação Urbana, EM, SA Lisboa Ocidental. He was a Municipal Deputy of Lisbon from 1997 to 2005, President of the Assembly of the Parish of S. Miguel from 1993 to 2001, and currently serves as the President of the Assembly of the Parish of Santa Maria Maior, in the municipality of Lisbon, since 2013.
