He is deeply committed to helping individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives by providing purpose-built programming tailored to their unique needs to ensure everyone has a place to call home.

Steven holds a Master of Health Administration from the Telfer School of Management and a Certified Health Executive designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Steve serves on the Executive Committee as a member of the Board of Directors for the Family and Children Services of Renfrew County and co-chairs the Supportive Housing Network Ottawa.

Steven is a member of the National Managed Alcohol Program Committee creating the first pan-Canadian guidance document on operating managed alcohol programs, released in 2023.
