She is a member of the board of directors of AEIPS – Associação para o Estudo e Integração Psicossocial, a non-governmental organization that promotes community inclusion for individuals with mental illness experience. Since 2009, she has been coordinating the Casas Primeiro/Housing First project for homeless individuals, developed by AEIPS, which currently comprises 160 apartments in the city of Lisbon.

She has collaborated with other organizations in the implementation, training, and evaluation of Housing First projects, both nationally and internationally, particularly within the scope of the Portuguese Housing First Network.
