Her remit includes high support housing, providing assistance to 47 men and women, as well as a social integration and participation project that supports access to education and employment. She also oversees a recovery-focused housing and support service, which includes a project emphasising recovery and stability, two aftercare houses, and a youth drug prevention service.

Colette has worked with Cork Simon Community for over twenty years. Prior to this, she worked in disability and mental health services in Scotland and Australia. With a long-standing commitment to social justice, she has always had a deep interest in addiction and recovery. She began her career at Cork Simon Community as a project worker in a high support housing project and went on to work across various housing services. For more than ten years, she was part of Gateway, helping to establish a project with a strong focus on stability, providing people with a safe place to experience recovery and access supports such as SMART Recovery, drug stabilisation programmes, and treatment services.
