Teresa Pestana holds a degree in Social Work from the Higher Institute of Social Work in Lisbon and a postgraduate qualification in Artistic Practice and Social Inclusion from the Faculty of Human Sciences at the Portuguese Catholic University.
Since 1999, she has worked as a Senior Technician at Almada City Council, where she currently coordinates the NPISA Almada (Local Homelessness Planning and Intervention Unit).
Her professional path has been marked by the intersection between social intervention and the promotion of culture as a tool for inclusion and community development.
