Vânia Cavaco holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, with a specialization in Health Psychology, and is recognized by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (OPP) as a Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology.
Since 2004, she has been working at the G.A.T.O. Institution, where she serves as Technical Director and Psychologist for the Social Reintegration Apartments in Faro and Torre D’Aires, Coordinator of the “Novas Oportunidades” Night Shelter in Tavira, and Coordinator of the Legos Project. She is also Supervisor of the Shared Apartments in Loulé and the Casa Ajuda – Loulé Housing First Project.
Between 2010 and 2013, she coordinated the Direct Intervention Teams in Faro, where she continues to work as a psychologist.
