He was president of Students Association of Architecture, president of Associação Académica de Lisboa (Lisbon Students Association) and General-Secretary of the Ordem dos Arquitectos (National Architects Association).
He was a civil servant, architect, architecture curator, book and magazine editor, manager, scholar and guest lecturer at higher education. He was Lisbon Deputy Mayor for Social Rights and chaired the Lisbon Local Council for Social Work. He is currently Director of the Planning Unit (SCML) and PhD student in Architecture (DArq / UC).
