Lígia Teixeira

Lígia Teixeira is one of the leading international experts on policies for people experiencing homelessness working in the United Kingdom.
She has worked at the London School of Economics, the United Nations, the Young Foundation, the Refugee Council, and Crisis, and is currently the Executive Director of the Centre for Homelessness Impact.
Her work has been instrumental in improving the quality of the evidence base in the United Kingdom and beyond, introducing innovative evidence tools on the ground, as well as new methods such as systematic reviews and local policy experiments that develop and test innovative approaches.
In 2018, she was appointed a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Economic and Social Research Council, the National Institute for Health Research, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Robertson Trust.
